By far one of the best series I have ever seen... BBC and Martin Freeman at his best. I hope for a sequel!!

I don't understand the positive vibe about this series: slow, weak story and annoyance about the characters. I really like Martin Freeman, but I could only keep this series going for two episodes... And then the 2nd one too, fast-forward!

I'm one of those people who has praised this series and I totally get what you mean. Because it's slow and the characters are annoying and unsympathetic. But for me that's what makes it right. The focus is very much on the fact that the rotten world in which the main character lives shapes him in this way and not so much on the story in which a criminal must be dealt with. Anyway, I can imagine that this is not everyone's cup of tea
