HBO delays premiere The Third Day

HBO has decided to delay The Third Day, an upcoming limited series.The Third Day will not premiere in May, which was initially intended. HBO has announced that they're going to delay the release date till fall. Why the series starring Jude Law (photo) and Naomie Harris has been delayed for so long, is uncertain. Next to Law and Harris, Katherine Waterston, Emily Watson, Freya Allan and Paddy Considine are part of the cast. It is co-produced by HBO and Sky. The six-part series has been created by Dennis Kelly and Felix Barrett.



The Third Day revolves around Sam, who somehow feels the need to go to a mysterious island in front of the British shore. In this strange world with its secretive inhabitants, Sam has to find his way. Isolated from the mainland, the island's rituals start to overwhelm Sam once he is confronted with a trauma from his past. As the lines between reality and fantasy fade, Sam goes on an emotional quest, which could threaten the way of life of the natives.
