What a bad series. What a disappointment. Bad script, mediocre actors and the story is a copy of Penoza aan zee. Only Penoza is a top series and this copy is not worth watching again. One story twist after another is even more unbelievable than the other. I held on until episode 5. Then I gave up.
Save yourself the time and don't start. There are so many other good shows to watch.

The Waterfront is a dark family drama set in the coastal town of Havenport, North Carolina. The series centers on the Buckley family, who run a fishing empire but become increasingly entangled in drug smuggling, debt, and mutual betrayal.

Led by patriarch Harlan Buckley (Holt McCallany), the family struggles to stay afloat as rivals, the police, and internal conflicts mount. Maria Bello (as the calculating Belle Buckley) and Jake Weary (as the reckless son Cane) deliver strong performances, while Topher Grace emerges midway through the season as an unpredictable drug lord, putting the family on edge.

The series is smoothly edited, visually appealing, and brimming with intrigue, but it sometimes leans too heavily on soap opera elements and over-the-top plot twists. The dialogue is occasionally wooden, and the character development often remains superficial.

With its mix of family drama and crime, The Waterfront isn't a masterpiece, but it is definitely binge-worthy for summer evenings. Don't expect a deep drama, but a guilty pleasure full of suspense, betrayal, and intrigue.
