Release date announced for The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep

Release date announced for The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep

The date, along with an exclusive clip introduced by Doug Cockle, voice of Geralt of Rivia from the Witcher video game series and the upcoming film, was revealed today during Netflix's Geeked Week.
In the film, Geralt of Rivia (Cockle), a mutant monster hunter, is hired to investigate a series of attacks in a coastal town and becomes embroiled in a centuries-old conflict between humans and merpeople. He must rely on friends – old and new – to solve the mystery before hostilities between the two kingdoms escalate into all-out war.

The clip (which you can watch below) also stars Joey Batey as Jaskier, along with Cockle's Geralt. Anya Chalotra also returns from the live-action The Witcher series to voice Yennefer in the film, with Christina Wren joining the cast to voice Essi Daven.

Sirens of the Deep is based on Andrzej Sapkowski's A Little Sacrifice, an in-universe short story not featured in the live-action show's first season.

This is the second anime film in The Witcher franchise, following The Witcher: Nightmare of The Wolf, which focuses on the origin story of Geralt's mentor and fellow Witcher Vesemir. That film premiered in 2021.

The film was written by Mike Ostrowski and Rae Benjamin and produced by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich with animation by Studio Mir. Ostrowski produces together with Tomek Bagiński & Jarosław Sawko, Jason F Brown & Sean Daniel. Rae Benjamin serves as co-executive producer. Andrzej Sapkowski serves as creative advisor. Kang Hei Chul directs.

The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep will hit the streamer on February 11, 2025.
