It will come as no surprise that Bella Ramsey will walk away with the prize. Ramsey made Ellie a true-to-life character with a rebellious streak in a horrible world. From the start of the elections, it was clear that Bella would come out on top, although Debicki did accelerate a bit at the end, it was still not enough to dethrone Ellie Williams.

While it was no surprise and hardly a struggle for the actresses, it was the same for the actors. Omar Sy didn't stand a chance against the actor who was nominated not only for The Last of Us but also for The Mandalorian. Although I think most votes went to the tough and vulnerable Joel Miller.

The number three most disappointing series has become the big winner here. And just like in the aforementioned category, Ted Lasso also came second here. The big winner at the Emmys, The Bear, also does not come higher than fourth place.

Not surprising, the series was excellently received. Unfortunately, the winner of the Televizier Ring 2023 did not get further than third place.

The number one that eventually became number two. That's the best way to describe the battle in this category. There was also tension here in numbers three and four, both from Paramount+, but in the end Stallone managed to beat Harrison Ford. Unfortunately, despite the backlash as to why this series wasn't nominated in more categories, Succession - a big winner at the Emmys - finished in a disappointing fifth place.

What else can be said now, The Last of Us made such an impression that even a year later the series ended up number one in several categories. Other, also very good series that started later in the year didn't stand a chance. I would like to leave open whether it is justified or not, because tastes simply differ.

The conclusion is that it does not matter whether a series is released at the beginning of the year or at the end. If you are good, the viewers will know that a year later. Netflix is once again the big winner this year, with a top three and top five winners in some categories. Is that because Netflix makes good series? This is partly true, but it is also because Netflix is the most watched and therefore some series do not appear in the top three. Not because they are not good, but simply because the viewer does not have a subscription to the streaming service/cable provider where the series is shown.
