The Flash (2014) is een Amerikaanse superheldenserie van de zender The CW. De serie ging in première op 7 oktober 2014.
Wanneer een ramp met een deeltjesversneller een vernietigende storm veroorzaakt wordt forensisch onderzoeker Barry Allen geraakt door bliksem en belandt in een coma. Maanden later ontwaakt hij met een nieuw verkregen kracht, supersnelheid. Dankzij deze kracht verandert hij in de supersnelle beschermengel van Central City. Barry is geschokt wanneer hij er achter komt dat hij niet de enige “meta-mens” is, die is ontstaan door de ramp met de deeltjesversneller. Wat het nog erger maakt is dat niet iedereen zijn verkregen kracht gebruikt voor het goede. Barry slaat de handen ineen met de overgebleven medewerkers van S.T.A.R. Labs om de onschuldigen te beschermen, al kost hem dit zijn leven. Voor nu weten alleen zijn medestanders dat hij de allersnelste mens ter wereld is, maar het zal niet lang duren voordat de hele wereld het weet, dat Barry Allen ... The Flash is.

Season 5 was a lot of fun! That Tom Cavanagh is not boring either! Every year that guy is great at acting. Nora and her story are also a good addition.

To be honest, I'm looking forward to watching episode 7, only it's not on popcorn yet. But I think it's a fun, exciting series with a good common thread through all the individual stories. And what I don't disappoint either are the actors. I definitely say a series to follow when it will be broadcast on Dutch TV.

There has been one major crossover between the two series so far that is actually too cool to miss. And I think there will be another crossover like this this season. But for the rest you can view the series fairly independently of each other. Sometimes there are some "easter eggs" to be found, especially in Arrow. And that was at the beginning of this season, probably to make Arrow viewers curious about The Flash.

The Flash first quietly comes in but as the series continues, the characters get better and although Barry is the Flash, he is not the only one who makes the series interesting. Especially going to see how the other characters develop. Recommended...

I'm surprised that this hasn't been made a news article yet, but Carlos Valdes who plays Cisco will not return after the next episode, Good-Bye Vibrations, and so will leave the series. A very big loss if you ask me!

@ Lyannah The Flash is a spin-off of the Arrow series. There has been some sort of pilot episode in an episode of Arrow that shows Barry Allen being struck by lightning and told that he is in a coma.
