The Fosters (2013) gets a third season

ABC Family has decided to renew their series ‘The Fosters (2013)’ for a third season. The second part of the second season will start on 19 January 2015.

“We are thrilled to be making more episodes of ‘The Fosters (2013)’ – a show that has not only garnered critical acclaim and numerous awards but resonates with our passionate and committed audience,” Karey Burke, ABC Family’s executive vice president of programming and development, said in a statement.

The drama follows the lives of the members of ‘The Foster (2013)’ family. They are composed of two mothers and their mix of both biological children and foster children. The series of executive producers Jennifer Lopez and the cast members Teri Polo, Sherri Saum, Jake T. Austin, Hayden Byerly, David Lambert, Maia Mitchell, Danny Nucci and Cierra Ramirez have been rewarded with Television Academy Honors Award and the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Drama Series.
