The Mindy Project is een Amerikaanse comedyserie van de zender Hulu (voorheen Fox). De serie ging 25 september 2012 in première bij Fox.
The Mindy Project stelt het personage Mindy Lahiri centraal. Zij heeft een succesvolle carrière als gynaecologe, maar toch probeert ze wanhopig te breken met de slechte gewoontes in haar persoonlijke leven. Zo maakt ze ongepaste speeches op het huwelijksfeest van haar ex, slaagt ze er in om bijna te verdrinken in het zwembad van een onbekende of gearresteerd te worden voor ongepast gedrag, juist voor ze een baby ter wereld moet brengen. Daarnaast kan Mindy ook elke film met Meg Ryan citeren, zowel de slechte als de goede, omdat op het einde Meg Ryan altijd met de man gaat lopen.
