Michael has been involved in organized crime all of his adult life, working for his friend and the gang leader Ronnie. When Ronnie begins to hint at retirement, Michael too begins to imagine another life. Because, for the first time in his life, Michael is in love. For the first time in his life, he sees beyond the day-to-day, he sees a future: something to win and something to lose - Diana.
This City Is Ours is an upcoming BBC crime drama series created by screenwriter Stephen Butchard. The eight-episode series is produced by Left Bank Pictures, known for The Crown. Filming took place in Liverpool and Spain.
The series follows Michael Kavanagh, a man who has spent his adult life involved in organised crime. He experiences love for the first time and sees a future with his partner, Diana Williams. Against the backdrop of the disintegration of his criminal gang, led by his friend Ronnie Phelan, Michael tries to build his new life. When a cocaine shipment goes missing, their empire is threatened and tensions arise within the organisation.
