I had to get used to According to Jacqueline, but now I think it is one of the best Dutch series, a mix between humor and tragedy. Fantastic played and with a script that is so well put together that you only realize after a while how good, because you keep thinking about what actually happened and how you would deal with such a situation yourself. In the beginning I found it difficult that everything revolved around Jacqueline and she was a bit against me, I found her nagging. That, I now understand, is also the intention. At the moment the story starts, it soon becomes clear that Jacqueline is not exactly the nicest wife, mother and girlfriend you can have. She is full of self-pity and pity and is a huge busybody and regulator, very irritating, because of her situation she only seems to be concerned with herself and has no eye for anything. Her environment thinks so too. When everything and everyone is fed up with her behavior, she is thrown back to herself and then it becomes interesting. Gradually the energy shifts and the characters around it become more visible and Jacqueline becomes softer, nicer, more fun and more beautiful. The story tells what it can be like after a divorce, especially emotionally and is psychologically well-founded. Here and there it is fun, crazy, but nowhere unbelievable, but very moving and funny. I found myself laughing out loud from time to time and that I was sometimes full. And suddenly there is the moment when you close the characters to your heart and actually want to see them more often. Blom makes you sit on the edge of your seat with her inimitable facial expressions (what a fantastic actress she is) and Hensema has such loving eyes that I would love to feel those two arms of his around me and even a bit in love with them. became of it. Too bad this series is almost over (I've seen up to 7). Compliments to Maria Goos who wrote such a beautiful, compelling series while she herself went through such a difficult time (very recognizable).
