Agatha Christie's Poirot is een Britse detectiveserie van de zender ITV1. De serie ging in première op 8 januari 1989.
Als de Duitsers in 1914 België binnenvallen krijgt de burgerbevolking het hard te verduren. Veel Belgische burgers vluchten naar het neutrale Nederland of naar Engeland. Een van hen is Hercule Poirot, een oud-politieman. Poirot wordt liefderijk opgevangen in Styles St. Mary in Engeland en ontwikkelt een affectie voor zijn nieuwe vaderland. Na de oorlog vestigt hij zich als privédetective in Londen, in een flat in Whitehaven Mansions. Hij werkt samen met de voormalige Britse legerofficier Captain Arthur Hastings en zijn secretaresse Miss Lemon. Als Hastings na een aantal jaren trouwt en emigreert naar Argentinië, trekt Poirot zich terug op het platteland. Hij blijft echter betrokken bij het oplossen van misdaden en na een tijdje keert hij terug naar Londen en Whitehaven Mansions. In plaats van Miss Lemon krijgt hij nu steun van George, zijn bediende.

We too (as a very big poirot fan) missed the first broadcast of season 13 on Belgium 1! sucks! Did someone record it? Would love to get a copy on DVD! For a fee of course! Have yourself also the episode 'Mysterious affair at Styles' on DVD in return (coming from a Belgian broadcast, so with Dutch subtitles). It is also true that DFW has not bought any rights for season 13: I have had email contact with them about this. So fans (as it looks now) don't have to count on the arrival of a separate box from the last season...

It's sad that DFW doesn't seem to want to release this final season. The collector's box that Berendsen is talking about was season 4-12, which DFW issued and did not include season 13. Was available through Trouw or Volkskrant I think. It is a pity that, for example, the UK can publish a complete box of Poirot, but here in the Netherlands it is again difficult and impossible. Perhaps we should pin our hopes on Lumiere, who will buy the rights to season 13 and release it on DVD.

Hello all. I'm also eagerly waiting for season 13. That's why I contacted Dutch Filmworks. They indicated that they have bought the rights to Poirot up to and including season 12, and that season 13 will have to be renegotiated with the producer. In other words, this could take some time. Maybe other people on this forum know more?
