Agatha Christie's Poirot is een Britse detectiveserie van de zender ITV1. De serie ging in première op 8 januari 1989.
Als de Duitsers in 1914 België binnenvallen krijgt de burgerbevolking het hard te verduren. Veel Belgische burgers vluchten naar het neutrale Nederland of naar Engeland. Een van hen is Hercule Poirot, een oud-politieman. Poirot wordt liefderijk opgevangen in Styles St. Mary in Engeland en ontwikkelt een affectie voor zijn nieuwe vaderland. Na de oorlog vestigt hij zich als privédetective in Londen, in een flat in Whitehaven Mansions. Hij werkt samen met de voormalige Britse legerofficier Captain Arthur Hastings en zijn secretaresse Miss Lemon. Als Hastings na een aantal jaren trouwt en emigreert naar Argentinië, trekt Poirot zich terug op het platteland. Hij blijft echter betrokken bij het oplossen van misdaden en na een tijdje keert hij terug naar Londen en Whitehaven Mansions. In plaats van Miss Lemon krijgt hij nu steun van George, zijn bediende.

I was already worried that DFW hadn't bought any rights. Season 13 has already been released with Dutch subtitles in a collector's box of all seasons at once. Presumably there will be no separate edition of season 13 at all. Or only a few years later in a cheaper edition (The best of...........). So I'm not going to buy that collector's box, because it's expensive and then I'll have 12 seasons double. I didn't want to wait any longer either. If you google the titles of each episode separately, you will find each episode (5 pieces) via a torrent. You can also download the Dutch subtitles per episode via a torrent (the subtitles have the extension *.srt). Combine it with a DVD program (Buyer ConvertX on Windows or free DVD Flick on Windows or Devede on Linux) and burn it to a DVD. The files are compressed in such a way that 2 movies can be burned on a regular DVD (DVD5). One drawback: the translation is sometimes cringe-inducing. Probably made by an Englishman under the name "Eagle". Translated very literally, so that sometimes it is no longer really Dutch. But if you don't care about that, then you have 5 beautiful Poirot films in good quality.

Dear Thomas, the last episode of Poirot can be seen on May 30 on Belgium 1 and maybe after this last episode the DVD season 13 with all these episodes will appear
