Arcadia is a Belgium/Dutch science fiction series which aired on Een/KRO-NCRV. The series premiered on March 19, 2023.
After a great catastrophe, a new society has given birth, Arcadia. Because raw materials have become scarce, a points system is introduced: the Burgerscore. It determines what you can and may do in this society, and what you are entitled to as a citizen.
'Arcadia' follows a law-abiding family as her high score can lead a good life. But everything changes when it comes to light that the father of the defrauded family has to keep up the Civic Score of two of his daughters. He wants to protect them against a world in which everything depends on their score. As punishment, he is banished from Arcadia to the outside world, which is almost uninhabitable and where only the elderly can survive. His wife and four daughters are left alone and receive demerit points for his fraud. They end up in a tangle of deceit and voirad, in which the solidarity between women is increasingly put to the test. Do they choose themselves or each other?

I've now seen 3 episodes. You really nail the series. Don't expect crazy special effects, but the story is beautiful, well played and the idea of a techno-dystopian society is well represented.

As far as I'm concerned watched 2 episodes for me 2 too many. Too amateurish, too made when I watch foreign series on the other hand.......

It is futuristic with unnecessary talking elevator doors and lockers that report that they are open / closed. It is very similar to the old East Germany, the Stasi culture, controlling and betraying each other is the theme here. Like many modern series, of course a lesbian relationship between a white and dark girl. Also a mixed hetero relationship between a white man and a dark woman. Very inclusive if you are not a black man?!
