Leaphorn is haunted by ancient demons in Dark Winds season three teaser

AMC has released a new teaser for season three of the noir drama Dark Winds. “When I was a boy, when I went to school, we were taught that the monsters walked the earth,” says Zahn McClarnon’s Joe at the beginning of the trailer. “When you kill a man he’s bound to you. I’ve accepted it, and I am prepared to go on living with it, everyday” he tells Chee (Kiowa Gordon).



Dark Winds season three premieres on Sunday, March 9 with an expanded eight-episode season, picking up six months after the events of season two. It follows Joe Leaphorn (McClarnon) and Jim Chee (Gordon) as they investigate the disappearance of two young boys, leaving only an abandoned bike and a bloody patch of land in their wake.

Meanwhile, Bernadette Manuelito (Jessica Matten) tries to settle into her new life 500 miles from home with the Border Patrol, but stumbles upon a human and drug smuggling conspiracy with far-reaching consequences.

Guest stars this season include Jenna Elfman, Bruce Greenwood, Raoul Max Trujillo, Tonantzin Carmelo, Alex Meraz, Terry Serpico, Derek Hinkey, Phil Burke and Christopher Heyerdahl. This season also features guest star A. Martinez as Acting Chief Gordo Sena of the Scarborough Police Department.
