Nice original idea, but a mediocre version. The Netflix money makes it all look slick, but because of the many characters you sometimes get completely lost and then they also regularly go back in time. With half the characters it would be a top series.

Precisely because you have to think really a genius series. The creator behind this must be a genius too. Everything is correct. This one is definitely in my top 10 best series.

Fantastic! The casting is world class and the whole idea is so well worked out. Certainly complicated to follow at times, but every now and then an episode ends with some clarification. That's nice! Last episode everything becomes clear. Definitely one of the best series I've watched this year.

Good series, but also very confusing because different timelines overlap. Due to the time travel, you don't always know what year it is. And just when you think you have all the complicated relationships and dates sorted out a bit, season 3 comes along and throws everything completely into disarray again.
The entire series is set in a German town called Winden and revolves around four families in that town. The series begins with the disappearance of a number of children from that town.

I finished the series with some difficulty. At a certain point it became a bit repetitive, but that is of course also due to the time travel theme. Like a number of people below, I sometimes had some difficulty separating the different people and I felt that things were being made unnecessarily complicated here and there. The ending was fine, the story was nicely completed. What a pity that the makers of this series were not given the same opportunity with their new series 1899...
