De IJzeren Eeuw

De IJzeren Eeuw is an Dutch documentary which is aired on VPRO. The series premiered on April 3th 2015.

After traveling trough the Golden Age, presenter Hans Goedkoop continues his road to the Iron Age. Each episode there is a historical figure centrally. The first episode is about a man who the Oranges most like to forget: Lodewijk Napoleon, the first king. The other episodes wil include other historical figures, for example the wealthy widow Borski, the Roman Catholic architect Pierre Cuypers and feminist Betsy Perk.
