What a great series and an interesting alternate timeline! You almost wish the Russians were in real life on the Moon before the Americans. Then they would have had a base on the Moon for years now. Now there is hardly any motivation, although the upcoming Artemis mission is heading in the right direction, but the current president can just turn off the money and prefer to spend it on climate nonsense. It would have been even better if in the series they also discussed what else the astronauts actually saw, such as strange objects observed during the many missions and even on the Moon if I may believe the HAM radio amateurs. That would just give that exciting mysterious touch to the series. I just hope that this series will not be canceled again, because nowadays it is customary to cancel good series, such as Project Blue Book, while junk series are constantly being renewed.

The first season blew me away. Beautiful story, perfectly presented. A wonderful mix of historical figures and an alternative history. A big 9. But unfortunately I have to conclude that the series cannot maintain this quality. Season 2 was also good, but season 3 is starting to get annoying. They have shopped extensively at GTST for storylines. Adoption issues, marriage problems, coming out of the closet stories (or not), boy next door / neighbor etc. etc. And unfortunately this show now also seems to be captured by the woke religion. That is becoming more and more common. In addition, the Russians are portrayed in a very one-dimensional way. They are just always bad and cannot be trusted. And they stole all the progress they made. That's all very simple. To be honest, it appeals less and less to me. Hopefully it will pick up a bit, although the season is already making good progress, but otherwise I'm afraid I'll drop out after this season. In season 2, the little ode to "our" Wubbo Ockels was very funny. A Dutchman on the Moon. Who would have thought :-)

You're right, the woke virus has struck here too. It seems as if there is some kind of media watchdog in the US that imposes an obligation on content creators to process everything from woke into series. Almost every new series is woke. What is funny is the new "space race" to Mars where Helios has to pass for the current SpaceX, where Musk has been replaced by a CEO "of color". The entire series is exactly 50% "people of color", 50% women and 50% gay it seems. It's all so thick that it really starts to get annoying. That cringeworthy thing with Baldwin's son is also starting to get on my nerves. Too much long-winded family drama, which I think should be left out because it adds nothing to the story of the "space race".

Nice series about the moon. A lot of involvement in the people who go there and their lives around it. A very good first season. Couldn't stop watching. Highly recommended
