It's getting worse. Where the series gave an honest and refreshing look behind the scenes of Formula 1 in its first seasons, Netflix now seems to increasingly dramatize conflicts and take statements out of context to increase the spectacle.
Season 8 seems a little less manipulated for drama than previous seasons. Perhaps they've received some justified criticism for that. I found it enjoyable to watch this time, and I didn't catch them committing outright lies to make it more spectacular, as they did last year. It remains the case that they choose specific people and teams to follow. And it's also clear that Verstappen isn't really cooperating. They can't ignore him sometimes, of course, but he's not really in the spotlight.
Super nice series. In recent years F1 in particular followed for the Netherlands success, but after seeing this series I will also enjoy the smaller teams competing for an eleventh position. Even my husband who has nothing to do with F1 doesn't like this documentary. And my mom is an even bigger fan. So for the whole family
