Gallipoli is een Australische dramaserie van de zender Nine Network. De serie ging in première op 9 februari 2015.
Het verhaal toont de tien maanden durende oorlog in Turkije, aandacht voor de landing op 25 april 1915 door ANZAC troepen die in de strijd op het schiereiland Gallipoli gaan. Landing in het donker, Tolly, Bevan en hun collega-soldaten proberen een verdedigbare vaste voet onder de verraderlijke hellingen van het schiereiland te krijgen. De serie volgt zowel de strijd en de nasleep ervan.

Before watching this series, I had no idea where 'Gallipoli' was or what it meant. The Netherlands did not participate in WW1 so here it is just a chapter in a history book that you have to learn for an exam. In Australia it is an old trauma and after watching this series I understood why. Jesus, found it hard to understand that so many boys were killed at the time because of the incompetence of a number of generals who would not admit that they had made errors of judgment. Impressed me so much that afterwards I did some internet research to find out if it was really that bad and yes, it was. Anyway, I thought it was very worthwhile to watch.
