Het Pleintje is a Belgium dramedy series which aired on Een. The series premiered on January 5, 1986.
The series takes place on a small square, with on one side a church owned by pastor Pol Sickx and his sexton Felix Piepermans and Poliet Peck's café De Elfurenmis. The more progressive side of the square with painter Karel Peers and the unemployed Barbara Vink do not match so well with the liberal side of the square, where justice of the peace Aristide de Lesseweg, his brother Boniface, court clerk Bernard Aerts hang out in the justice of the peace court and Bertha Bank's café De Oude Griffie. In addition, there are grocers Gust and Millie Kerdoens who have to be somewhat neutral, postman Harry Stoffels and his family and policeman Gerard Briers and his family. The whole series floats on the rivalry between the two groups.
