I started this series yesterday.. And I have to admit it is addictive and fun!! It's that I have to wait because I hadn't downloaded everything yet, but otherwise I was watching now too!

Just finished season 1. The theme did not interest me, but the series surprised me in a positive way. Jane Adams plays a strong role as a nerdy spinster alongside the somewhat corny gigolo (in my opinion) Thomas Jane. The whole thing already captivates me. I just started season 2. The beginning of season 2 continues on the same good level of the first season. More later....

Delicious, crazy series. What I particularly like, except for protagonist Thomas Jane, is that every character has a bit of wryly sarcastic about it, from ugly teenage twins to overwrought bumbling manager / pimp. It's all just a bit over the top, and that's why it's a joy to watch. Each character has something slightly desperate and unexpected. Anne Heche is of course unparalleled, as always, and so is her new husband, the thrifty Eddie Jamison with his wonderful facial expressions. I had to get in there for a while but can't let go of it now. As far as I am concerned, black humor is in the same vein as Californication and Weeds. It has been a few years since the series ended, too bad that only three seasons were made. Give me more of this addictive stuff indeed.
