Kingdom is een gruizig familie drama afgezet tegen de afvallige subcultuur van Mixed Martial Arts. Alvey Kulinam is een MMA legende, en eigenaar van een CA-gebaseerde fitnessruimte in Venice. Nate is de voor prijzen vechtende zoon van Alvey en de jongere broer van Jay. Dan hebben we ook nog een atlete van wereldklasse die alles had en alles is verloren.

There is actually no comparable series in this genre. You could perhaps say "Fighters Heart" for the sake of kickboxing, but that is where all comparison ends, because "Kingdom" is really a winner in all areas. I may hope that a third season is on the schedule because there is at least enough material available to keep things equally interesting.

CC try Lights Out from FX. Series about a former heavyweight boxer who goes up again for a title fight. Less than Kingdom, but also nice. Was canceled after 1 season, so you get it through quickly. Can be seen on the American Netflix.
