Knokke off is een Belgische dramedyserie van de zender VRT MAX. De serie ging in première op 12 mei 2023.
Twintigers Louise en Alexander beleven samen met hun vrienden een schijnbaar onbezonnen zomer in het weelderige Knokke. Door de hoge verwachtingen van hun ouders dreigen ze echter zichzelf te verliezen in luxe en feesten en gaan ze wanhopig op zoek naar iets wat ze maar niet vinden: echte vriendschap, liefde en vooral… zichzelf. Hun wereld wordt daarbij bovendien grondig verstoord door de komst van Daan en zijn moeder Melissa. Ook zij zijn op zoek, maar vooral naar de waarheid achter de maskers…

Still two episodes to go, but this series is doing something to me. The acting and story, just fantastic! Especially hats off to Pommelien and Willem, who play their role very powerfully!

The series is well put together from start to finish, with a good cliffhanger at the end of each episode, so that you remain very curious to see how the story will continue. The following topics are all discussed; the difference between rich and poor, privileges, power, affairs, abuse within a relationship, betrayal, orientation, mental health and addictions. The series receives a lot of criticism regarding the acting, but in my opinion that is unjustified. Knokke off definitely gets a good grade.

This news was only announced last Tuesday that there will be a second season. Filming will not start until next summer.

I know, but there will be a 2nd season and that is already listed without a date, so that update was not there yet. I also know that the episode will only be released after the summer of 2024.

you get into it slowly, you stay interested because you want to know what happened and how this shit is going to turn out. how power/ego can destroy everything

Seen 3 episodes now. The acting in this series is so bad. Story is also thin. A total flop for me.
