Madrid, ends of the 40s. Martha has a promising future when it knew Antonio, but a loyalty badly understood with Rafael, trastocará his lives. When Antonio falls patient, Marta meets obliged to put to work, being exposed to the jealousies of Rafael, the gossips of the neighborhood and to the indignation of a humiliated husband. The appearance of a modern and wealthy businesswoman will give to Martha an unexpected opportunity that will allow him to save probably his own survival and that of his daughter Elena, and to find, finally, his place in the world.
