Mayans MC vindt plaats tweeënhalf jaar na de gebeurtenissen van Sons of Anarchy en zal zich richten op de strijd van Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes, een kandidaat in het Mayan MC status op de grens tussen Californië en Mexico. EZ is de begaafde zoon van een trotse Latino-familie, wiens Amerikaanse droom werd uitgeblazen door het geweld van het kartel. Nu, zijn behoefte aan wraak drijft hem naar een leven dat hij nooit gewild heeft en waar hij onmogelijk aan kan ontsnappen.

The first two episodes do not do it wrong as far as I am concerned. Personally I think there is a clear difference in this series, if you compare it with SOA, after all they are Mexicans / half Mexicans, who are in the the border area between America and Mexico seems more than logical to me, and I can already see the positive similarities with SOA, there is certainly no lack of violence ... that the Mexicans do not yet convey that real Hell's Angel feeling, think I'm still not too bad. With certainly curious about how soon the main character will continue to cooperate with the DEA ... sooner or later, a "Bomb" will burst somewhere, after which the real action will begin. "Los Olvidados" are certainly going for it cause the necessary problems.

A few years ago I watched SOA, bought the series because I thought it was so great and gave it a '10' as one of my 7 favorite series.
It makes sense that I was looking forward to Mayans, but the series couldn't captivate me and I stopped watching after 3 episodes.
This year I sat down to watch it and halfway through season 1 it started to get more and more interesting, I'm now halfway through season 4 and can't put it down.

Seen the 1st 2 eps, but so far it looks more like a limp Mexican remake of the genius original, than a sequel. So far a 5, hopefully it will be a bit more interesting in the coming episodes. At SOA I was immediately into it, but here ... You miss similar characters like Jax, Clay and basically the rest haha. These guys don't give me any f * ck interest so far. : /

I've seen this series and it is indeed a nice spinoff from SOA. Well-known faces from SOA can be seen, such as Marcus Alvarez, Happy, Chibs, Chucky and Les Packer. Personally I think the SONS is better but the story continues from a different angle. An MC we knew from the SONS, their ally The Mayans. And you can see that in this series. They also have to do with Lincoln Potter, who wants to take down the Mayans at all costs. I'm looking forward to season 3 and expect it to arrive in the spring of mid-2021. Read that a spinoff would also come from Samcro and that the focus will be on Abel. Would be nice that The Mayans and the series SAMCRO come out in storylines.
