Midnight Sun is een Zweedse dramaserie van de zender SVT. De serie ging in première op 23 oktober 2016.
In Midnigh Sun reist de Franse rechercheur Kahina Zadi naar het Zweedse plaatsje Kiruna om de moord op een Fransman te onderzoeken. Al snel vallen er meer doden. Kahina en haar Zweedse assistent Anders Harnesk stuiten op een tien jaar oude geheime samenzwering van vele dorpsbewoners. Kahina wordt geconfronteerd met een gewetenloze seriemoordenaar, een macaber plan en haar eigen pijnlijke verleden.

Top series! we enjoyed it, beautiful images, a lot of story, excellent dialogues and an exciting denouement. Funny that there will be no follow-up.

Great series, a detective, but with an undertone of sami mysticism and international intrigue. Recorded in the impressive landscape of northern Sweden, during the period when the sun does not set. Absolute must

Reasonable series, but despite the presence of the writers of The Bridge, this series does not reach that level for a moment. Too many side issues, private matters of both the female and male investigator, that take away the focus in solving the murders and there is no chemistry whatsoever between the two protagonists.

I quite like Scandinavian series, but this one is really way too slow for me. Difficult and unnatural dialogues, far too many side issues that are of no importance to the story. You get the idea that 8 episodes definitely had to be made, but that there is only material for 4 episodes. So stretch time. Unfortunately this disappointment. Just enough for portraying the beautiful landscapes.
