Future Netflix series Mindhunter uncertain

Future Netflix series Mindhunter uncertain

On August 16, 2019, the second season of the psychological crime series Mindhunter released at Netflix.
Mindhunter tells the story of two FBI agents - Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallany) - who want to chart the behavior of serial killers. They do this by interviewing serial killers in order to analyze their behavior. The second season revolved around the Atlanta Child Murders that took place between 1979 and 1981.

The launch of the second season of Mindhunter is now five months ago. Since then it is unclear whether there will be a follow-up. Last month the contracts of cast members Holt McCallany and Jonathan Groff already expired. The contract of Anna Torv, who plays a psychologist, has also expired.

That seems to indicate that the series is not being continued. Yet that is not yet certain. "David is focused on directing his first Netflix film Mank and on producing the second season of Love, Death and Robots," said a Netflix spokesperson in a statement. "He can pick up Mindhunter again in the future, but in the meantime he didn't like to keep the actors from looking for other work while doing other things himself."

MySeries will keep an eye on any updates regarding Mindhunter.

Yes, let's leave a masterful series like Mindhunter to work on the second season of a lackluster animation series .. Logical choice ... Would be a shame. It is 1 of the best Netflix Originals.

I think it is the choice of the creator of Mindhunters and not Netflix. If Fincher does not want to (for the time being) then Netflix can do little.

Oh that would be a shame. Let's hope there will be no cancellation after delay!
