It's the latest pilot for the Disney network alongside Peep Show, the still-in-work remake of the British cult classic starring Minnie Driver and Amandla Jahava. It comes after English Teacher, a comedy starring Brian Jordan Alvarez, went to series in November after the pilot was ordered in 2022.

The network has ordered Snowflakes from former The Tonight Show writers Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw (pictured right). The pilot is produced by Nick Kroll (pictured left) and Awkwafina is Nora from Queens showrunner Karey Dornetto.
FX is fresh off the Golden Globes success of the comedy The Bear, which is also a favorite for a number of Emmys.
Kronengold and Shaw were two of the youngest writers on Jimmy Fallon's NBC late-night show and the recently released humor collection Naked in the Rideshare. They write and produce the pilot.
Kroll is well known to FX, having starred in the long-running fantasy football comedy The League and also appeared in What We Do in the Shadows. He and Alicia Van Couvering, who runs his Good at Business production banner, are executive producing under their first-look deal with FX Productions, which is producing the project.
In addition to Awkwafina, Nora from Queens, Dornetto was an executive producer at Portlandia and worked on series such as Arrested Development and Community.
Jonathan Krisel directs the pilot. He recently directed the FX pilot English Teacher and has worked on series such as FX's Baskets. Kronengold, Shaw, Kroll, Van Couvering, Dornetto and Krisel are producing.
