Starz! gives Power a third season

Starz! is early with the renewal of ‘Power’, the second season premiered on 6 June and Starz! already ordered a third season.

The first episode of the second season of ‘Power’ set a record for Starz! 1.43 million viewers directly logged on to the show. But 3.62 million viewers watched the first episode later that weekend. That is an absolute record for a Starz! Original Series.

“’Power’ is a project I have been passionate about since day one,” said executive producer and star Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. “I am glad the audience loves the show as much as we do, and we are just getting started.”

The production of the third season of ‘Power’ will start in September 2015 and Starz! has ordered 10 episodes. ‘Power’ airs in more than 175 countries/territories worldwide.
