Not overdramatized. A lot of new information for me. I still remember where I was when this very bad news came out. A good series. Fortunately, not the actors you often see, otherwise they only distract from the story. Fascinating!
Yesterday I watched this series in one sitting. What a good series! If I can believe Wikipedia, the story is told quite completely and well. It is also clear that there are still questions. The disclaimer in advance is a bit of a shame. So you still don't know what was created for the dramatic effect and what really happened. For example, was Dekker really followed? Those are things you would like to know. Asha Willems also did not really exist but was composed of a number of other, existing people. That's artistic license of course, but it leaves you guessing as to how some things really went. The acting performances can certainly be called reasonable. I liked Joy Delima (Asha) playing naturally. What I thought was quite good is how the leading characters from back then were portrayed. When I saw the first shot at the municipality of Amsterdam, I immediately saw that Ed van Thijn was standing there. Of course that's not possible, but the resemblance was striking. And there were more that I recognized immediately. Also refreshing to see a Dutch production without Barry Atsma and Frank Lammers :-) I'm not really into Dutch productions, but this series made an impression on me. I watched it in one go and even though you know the story quite well, you are still curious to see how it will continue. Fine. Recommended!
