Start date for second season Max comedy series Rap Sh!t

You can watch it at the bottom of this news item.Rap Sh!t follows two estranged Miami college friends, Shawna (Aida Osman) and Mia (KaMillion), who reunite to form a rap group. On their rise to fame, Shawna and Mia find themselves at a pivotal point in their rap careers, when they must decide whether to stay true to themselves or adapt to the demands of the music industry.



The cast also includes Jonica Booth as Chastity, RJ Cyler as Lamont and Daniel Augustin as Maurice.

Max has set Thursday, August 10 for the start of season two of Issa Rae's comedy series. The eight-episode second season debuts with two episodes on August 10, followed by one episode each week until the season finale on Thursday, September 21.

Rap Sh!t was created and produced by Rae for Hoorae. Syreeta Singleton serves as showrunner and executive producer along with Dave Becky and Jonathan Berry for 3 Arts Entertainment and Jim Kleverweis.

City Girls' hip-hop duo Yung Miami and JT serve as co-executive producers, along with Kevin "Coach K" Lee and Pierre "P" Thomas for Quality Control Films, and Sara Rastogi and Jax Clark for Hoorae Rae's Audio Everywhere Company, Raedio, provides the music supervision for the series.
