Masterpiece has released a trailer for the final season of Sanditon, the drama inspired by Jane Austen's last unfinished novel.

The upcoming third season of the British historical drama series Sanditon will be its last, Masterpiece has announced.

Sanditon now has its premiere date set for 2022 on PBS. The Jane Austen series will return in March with new episodes, and the action will pick up nine months after the end of season one.

PBS has acquired the rights of Sanditon from ITV, which cancelled the series after its first season. PBS then decided to renew the drama series with its second and third season.
