SAS: Rogue Heroes renewed for a third season by BBC

The third season of SAS: Rogue Heroes is officially in production for a third season.
The cameras are rolling again for Steven Knight's successful BBC war drama SAS: Rogue Heroes, starring Jack O'Connell, Sofia Boutella, and Dominic West. The new season adds Nick Hargrove, Lorne MacFadyen, Andrew Dawson, and Jake Jarratt to the cast.

Knight had previously expressed a desire to make a third season and has been working on the scripts. Meanwhile, the prolific writer also has House of Guinness for Netflix and a second season of A Thousand Blows for Disney+ on the way.

Based on Ben Macintyre's bestseller, the new chapter of SAS: Rogue Heroes takes place during a critical phase of World War II. Paddy Mayne (O’Connell) and his Rogues parachute deep behind enemy lines and must destroy and disrupt the mighty German army while supporting the Allied advance.

Together with the French resistance and new recruits, the SAS faces almost insurmountable challenges again as the liberation of Western Europe begins. The regular cast returns, and filming takes place in the United Kingdom and France. Knight emphasizes: "Never was the war so bloody, and never were the stakes and risks so high. The Rogue Heroes dare to win, but at what cost to themselves and their souls?"

I agree, and I'm also thrilled that SAS: Rogue Heroes is getting a third season! I'm especially drawn to the historical aspect, the liberation of Western Europe and the SAS's role in it. It promises to be bloodier, more intense, and at the same time more captivating.
