Shadow and Bone renewed with its second season

Netflix has renewed the American fantasy series Shadow and Bone with its second season. After it was released, it rapidly gained popularity.

Late April, the first season premiered on Netflix. According to the streaming service, 55 million households have watched the first season. Now, Netflix has announced the second season of the series. It is not yet known when this season is going to release. It is expected that it will have eight episodes, just like the first season.

Shadow and Bone is based on the books Shadow and Bone and Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. Shadow and Bone takes place in a world with everlasting darkness and revolves around Alina Starkov (Jessie Mei Li, Banged Up Abroad), a young soldier. Alina discovers that she controls a hidden power that could unite the divided lands. However, enemies are continuously trying to stop her.
