“Sphinx” takes us into an intriguing story that revolves around thirteen-year-old Minke Moorman. One day, while on her way to school, she is kidnapped. What follows is an incredible twist. On the same day, three years later, Minke suddenly reappears, out of nowhere, with a mysterious tattoo of a sphinx on her back.
At first, her parents, Marcel and Rifka, and her brother are overjoyed that Minke is back home. But they soon notice that something has changed. Watched first episode. Strong leading actors as parents, always a fan of seeing both in series. Enough exciting to keep watching. Good start.

Also saw the 1st episode. For the very first time in my 60 years of life that I watch a Dutch series and decide to watch the rest as well. M curious...

Completely finished the series and am left with a strange feeling. The first 3 episodes really convinced me to continue watching. Still, I thought the 2nd half was a lot less. The actors look more like actors than they are real actors participating in a film or series. The last episode really went too far for me. Too bad, because the story was good. I always wonder why Nordics, noir, English, French, Walloon, Flemish, German and more and more other countries are able to make good series with good actors and keep everything more believable... Yet I have still gave a reasonable rating and hope that a 2nd season will provide some improvements.

Dizzying, ruthless, fascinating and with a huge tension span. Too bad there are 'only' six episodes...
