De serie gaat verder waar de Stargate ophield. I actually (finally) have it on my schedule, but I still hesitate to start. The reason ? I first thought I'd watch the original movie on which the series is based, and that's what I did. To my surprise, the film was very weak to the end, even just plain bad. Maybe the real sci-fi aficionados are anything but critical viewers, I don't know, but as far as the movie is concerned, I wouldn't even give it 5 out of 10, even because it was in color. As far as I'm concerned, there is no series that deserves a 10 anyway (and rightly so), but starting to watch a series that is based on a bad movie really holds me back a bit.

SG1 was truly one of the best SF series, just like Star Trek TNG and Babylon 5, which is still number one for me. But I do long for SG1 again and hopefully they will come up with a sequel or a remake soon. That would be great. Furthermore, "McGuyver" Richard Dean Anderson was of course the main actor and his quirky sense of humor was a pleasure to watch. Just a great exciting series that I hope will come back again.
