The Supernatural spin-off has found two of its lead actors. Warner Bros. has confirmed that Nathaniel Buzolic & Lucien Laviscount have been cast in 'Supernatural: Tribes'. British actor Laviscount and TVD-star Buzolic are the first two actors to join 'Supernatural: Tribes', which will be launched with a backdoor pilot on the original 'Supernatural' in the April 29 episode.
The spin-off, written by Andrew Dabb and directed by Robert Singer, is described as a sweeping drama about the various mafia-esque monster families that unknowingly to humans “run” the underbelly of Chicago and who are being tracked by a newly minted Hunter who is trying to stop them and rid Chicago of anything or anyone supernatural.
Laviscount (known for his role in 'Skins') will star as Ennis Roth, a police academy trainee who learns the truth about what lurks in the shadows after his fiancée is killed in the crossfire of Chicago's monster war, which leads to him becoming a monster-hunter himself.
Buzolic (known for his role as Kol in 'The Vampire Diaries' and 'The Originals') will co-star as David Hayden, a shape-shifter from one of Chicago’s ruling monster families who has been living as a human after having given up the monster life years ago.
The backdoor pilot for 'Supernatural: Tribes' will air as episode 9.20 of 'Supernatural' and will include Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles as the Winchester brothers who become aware of what’s happening in Chicago.
