Some episodes were better than others, but overall this series is a more dark and brooding version of Netflix's Bridgerton series. Also based on a book (this one by Edith Warton). Not all top actors and lots of frills, sometimes even where they are not necessary, but the character Nan is fantastic, she really takes the series to a higher level. The lesbian storyline is a bit telephoned, but it's fun, because those two actresses are also top notch. Highly recommended for Dickinson fans, Bridgerton fans... no, I'm afraid they'll be disappointed.
