First look at the second part of The Crown season six

The second part of the final season of The Crown is almost here and Netflix has shown some first images to get fans in the mood.
The photos show the country's most famous family as the 2000s roll in. Prince William (Ed McVey) tries to reintegrate into life at Eton after the death of his mother, while the monarchy must keep public opinion in its favor.

As she reaches her Golden Jubilee, the Queen (Imelda Staunton) ponders the future of the monarchy with the wedding of Charles (Dominic West) and Camilla (Olivia Williams) and the beginning of a new royal fairytale with William and Kate (Meg Bellamy).

The second half of episodes will be released on Thursday, December 14, a month after the first half, which included the controversial episode in which Princess Diana dies.

In the final chapter, new actors take on the roles of Prince William and Prince Harry in Ed McVey and Luther Ford respectively, while newcomer Meg Bellamy gets her turn as Kate Middleton.

The Crown season six has topped the Netflix charts worldwide in recent weeks, but has not been without controversy, especially regarding scenes involving Diana. Last week, the Queen's former press secretary called the portrayal of Diana's death "dramatic license run amok".
