Production The Crown will not be halted

Because of the coronavirus, a lot of series have their production halted. The Crown, however, will finish production of the fourth season in the upcoming weeks.
Left Bank Pictures has decided to continue production on the fourth season of The Crown. The cast and crew have to carry one for only one more week. Because of this, a possible delay of the fourth season will be prevented. Delays are quite common in this month. A lot of series have had their production halted due to the coronavirus. The fourth and penultimate season is expected to release near the end of 2020.

The Crown is one of the few shows that isn't affected by the consequences of the coronavirus. The virus has a lot of series and movie productions in its clutches. Netflix is talking to several of their independent producers, including Left Bank, as to whether or not production on their series and movies should be temporarily halted. Netflix has already decided to stop production on The Witcher for two weeks. For now, production on The Crown will be finished this week.

The fourth season is not the last as stated in the article. There will be a fifth, and indeed last, season.
