I have followed this series for quite a while now and even gave it an 8. And season 11 has just started. But gradually it starts to get a bit annoying. Each episode is mainly dominated by endless repetitions of things that have happened or found before. And then that voiceover. It becomes more annoying every season. That Robert Clotworthy with his strange emphasis is mainly busy repeating everything that was said just before, but with a question mark after the sentence. And then something that was said or found in previous episodes is repeated for a few minutes. And not to forget that in every scene he introduces everyone in it every f*ck*ng time with their first and last name and position. Man, after so many seasons we slowly know who they are. And I notice that I'm starting to get more and more annoyed by that. And besides. They keep finding nothing. Yes, a coin here and a piece of wood there. But in the end nothing. I think the worldwide broadcasts of this series are the real money pit for the Lagina brothers. Because that will certainly lead to something. But it's time for them to take a closer look at the format and make some adjustments. And please, remove that Clotworthy and Mattie Blake from the cast. Because as things stand now, as a loyal viewer for many years, I'm really thinking about stopping this. If they really find something, it will be in the newspaper...

I completely agree with you. When I look at the time when something new actually comes up (and that is still the question) I continue to talk about it for hours. Each episode lasts 60 minutes, with commercials every 10 minutes and then the constant repetition of who is who and what they have found so far really starts to irritate.

for me, oak island is no longer nice and over the hill with commercialism and (too) many repetitions. I will no longer log in to my series. Too bad because a year ago it was still fun to follow, now it's just irritation.

Have seen all episodes now. The wait is for season 6. Hopefully soon. Have enjoyed.

History NL usually lags behind the US. Season 8 started in January 2021. So if this goes the same way with season 9, I expect it to start in January 2022.
