Just watched the pilot. I think it is a separate series. It is a bit of everything: humor, fargo-like acting and imagery, tension and interesting actors. I am a fan of Tim Roth, what a fantastic actor this is. I am curious about the other episodes.
Have just watched the last (3rd) season and have to say that I had a good time. The first half of the first season seemed quite credible, but after that everything was actually taken out of proportion. The cliffhanger at the end of season 1 immediately made you long for season 2. This season was also pretty rough, everyone was pretty much killed by Tim Roth who shows himself here as a versatile actor, really good. The series is starting to look more and more like an exciting laugh series and I liked that. Then the 3rd (and last) season starts at the place where all the misery began ... Liverpool. It remained exciting and humorous. Nice series, highly recommended. At the end of the season, wondered how many deaths were ultimately made ... anyone have an idea?
I didn't read that then :-( Remarkable that it will be on BBC First. It's a series from Sky and also sold to Amazon Prime. Or would that just be the US rights?
Starts off well, but quickly gets bogged down in unbelievable events with all sorts of irrelevant scenes. Looks very contrived. Hardly got through season 1. I gave up.
