Season 2 is really woefully worse than S1 !! Watched the first 2 episodes of the 8 but this season could not fascinate us at all, endless dialogues but it has not been exciting for a moment, unlike season 1 where I could not wait for the next episode to be broadcast !! I sincerely hope that the 3rd season (if any) is as exciting and strong as the 1st season otherwise it's over and out for me regarding this series; too bad ......

Of course, Matthew McConaughey set the bar inhumanely high in Season 1. All Season 2 can do is either provide a big surprise or just make sure to match Season 1. In my opinion, that has not yet worked after four episodes. The whole thing is a bit messy, with no less than four main characters all with their troubles and problems. style by Nic Pizzolatto. Pizzolatto tries to cover that up with the long and mysterious dialogues, but even that ... while the characters are very interesting in themselves, but together it is not quite right. And then Vince Vaugn, who does a good job, but that's it. He does not provide the necessary shivers, which is tried. This is a shame, because the beautiful dark ingredients are there: the murder itself, the music of Lena Lynn and of course the direction. Things to create something beautiful, it's just a cold paste so far (episode four). Preview is the end of episode four. Good ending, which really hits the spot with the detectives, which just doesn't work and therefore doesn't hit me. Purely because it feels a bit fast and the interests are not yet big enough for such an impact event. But, of course I still like to be surprised in the second half.

Season 1 was just a good 8. This second season is so very bad, a 2, that I give it a 5 on average. Incredibly the difference between 2 seasons. I find season two almost as boring as bloodline. mwa, well. not so boring but you get my drift.

They should have called this series 'Good things come to those who wait'. The first episodes were even slower than Terror Jaap in the 100 meter sprint, but the spark is in the kruidvat. The closing credits come too fast for the last two episodes and the hunger for more Herrulson and Mekkonnuhie grows by the week. Curious how this will turn out.
