Under the Dome is gebaseerd op de gelijknamige bestseller van Stephen King. Het verhaal gaat over een klein stadje in New England die op onverklaarbare wijze is afgesloten van de rest van de wereld door een enorme transparante koepel. Inwoners van de stad proberen te overleven in de verslechterde post-apocalyptische omstandigheden en zoeken naar antwoorden op de vraag wat deze barriere is, waar het vandaan kwam en hoe ze de kunnen laten verdwijnen.

The book, on which this series is based, was fantastic. The first season was fine. The second season was already less, but in the third season I dropped out after two episodes. This had nothing to do with the original story anymore. This also turned out to be the last season, but actually that was a season too far (to stay in May 5 terms :-))

I've seen every episode until now. currently @ s3 / e9 but think the story is being stretched too much now. tension is becoming more and more difficult and it affects me less and less. the only reason you keep checking when that dome is going now is down

I think they did talk about it, but I don't know what episode that was in. I thought the 2nd but I could be wrong. They couldn't dig under it because the dome is very far underground. Others claim that the dome is a ball but I don't think that can be true as Chester's Mill would have to be destroyed if the dome fell down.

Special effects, just like season 1, were bad again. I'm really not dissatisfied with the part that 'you know who' was crushed between car and wall. I found that annoying person :P

I was also hoping for a more stronger second season. But it all remains a lame bite..Again a childish performance of an interesting story in itself. Little teen series. If it threatens to become a bit bloody or violent, the camera turns away cowardly. If blood is flowing, it does look very fake. The same goes for the special effects. I drop out at episode 3 season 2.

@Vevie About the acting skills of some guys I agree with you and what also really bothered me were certain actions and thoughts that I thought; yeah right (eg Joe doesn't miss his sister until after/on day 3!?) But in the end saw everything and still got a good feeling about the series and that is mainly due to the strong story and luckily a few good roles in it. I don't understand your criticism about the final, one season finale closes with some answers but in this case there is just a huge cliffhanger that actually announces season 2. For me it has only worked well and I am very much looking forward to S2 (which takes a long time, by the way)
