Under the Dome is een Amerikaanse sciencefictionserie van de zender CBS. De serie ging in première op 24 juni 2013.
Under the Dome is gebaseerd op de gelijknamige bestseller van Stephen King. Het verhaal gaat over een klein stadje in New England die op onverklaarbare wijze is afgesloten van de rest van de wereld door een enorme transparante koepel. Inwoners van de stad proberen te overleven in de verslechterde post-apocalyptische omstandigheden en zoeken naar antwoorden op de vraag wat deze barriere is, waar het vandaan kwam en hoe ze de kunnen laten verdwijnen.

Ever put a book aside halfway through because Stephen king has quite a plastic way of writing. Also in this series you see that coming back on all sides, but how vague and unbelievable this series is, just like the dome it has an attraction and you have to look even though I often think "how then".

Great series, I just feel like there isn't much story for a 2nd season. Except for 1 episode that the dome breaks.

The first two episodes were promising, but with the third it all suddenly becomes a very weak imitation of all kinds of standard dialogues and standard characters that are even played in a standard way. Little surprising. I stop watching.

I agree with Krilzz on the one hand. On the one hand, we may miss the security of the town a bit, but the series was ready for something new. Personally, I think this series gets better with the episode. Sometimes a bit vague but it is definitely one of my favorites.
