War of the Worlds (2019) was renewed with its second season. It was one of the first series to continue production after the massive corona-related production stop. Production has finished. On the 6th of June, the second season will premiere on EPIX. Eight episodes will be released.
The series takes place in a world where most of humanity was exterminated several days after a devastating attack. The attack takes place after astronomers found a transmission from a different solar system. Those that remain have to survive in an eerily abandoned world.
