This month, the second season of War of the Worlds (2019) is going to premiere on FOX. Shortly after that, the season will release on Disney+. Starting from the 20th of May, the new season will start its run. At FOX, two new episodes will be released each week. Next to that, from the 21st of May, the episodes will be made available on Disney+. The streaming service also offers the same routine, with two episodes airing each week. With the release of the second season, the first season will also be made available on the 21st of May. Previously, it was revealed that the second season will be made available on EPIX
starting in early June.
The series takes place in a world where most of humanity was exterminated several days after a devastating attack. The attack takes place after astronomers found a transmission from a different solar system. Those that remain have to survive in an eerily abandoned world.
