Third season for Broadchurch

Good news for all the fans of ‘Broadchurch’, the British drama series does not only get a third season but lead players David Tennant and Olivia Colman will also return to ‘Broadchurch’. ITV confirmed the news after the last episode of the second season, in which the central murder case was resolved.

David Tennant and Olivia Colman will return as Alec Hardy and Ellie Miller but details about other cast members or production dates will be announced on a later date. ‘Broadchurch’ season three is expected to air early 2016.

Steve November said today: “Chris Chibnall knows exactly how to keep viewers guessing and I’m delighted that he is going to take the story onto the next stage.”

Creator and writer Chris Chibnall said: “We’ve been overwhelmed that nine million people every week have continued to join us on the twists and turns of 'Broadchurch'. This third chapter has been a glint in my eye for a long time and I’m thrilled to be writing these characters once again.”
