Robert Baratheon is koning van Westeros, maar al snel ontdekt hij dat zijn troon zeer gewild is onder de adellijke families. Om het allemaal nog erger te maken staat er in het Noorden een oud kwaad op, klaar om het verscheurde Westeros binnen te vallen.

You don't just watch an episode of Game of Thrones, you experience it with heart, soul and occasionally your stomach;). An hour will pass in no time and you want to devour, discover and know everything, just like these warring families. I kind of have the feeling that for some characters they want to create more of a "shock effect" for some characters than let the story go in a direction that actually makes sense. Storylines I don't like: - Stannis / Melisandre (my favorite character from the books) - Sansa - Theon - Jon Snow - Catelyn Maybe Melisandre will get her added value, but I'm not going to speculate about that just yet. It actually only went wrong after the story of the books could no longer be followed.

This is really THE number 1 series for me. This series is so addictive that you always want to keep watching. I have given the series a 9.5. He won't get 10 because there should be a little more episodes per season for me. This would do justice to the story even better because there is now a lot to be told in (only) 10 episodes per season, which sometimes, in my opinion, is a little too short on certain topics / scenarios. For the rest, the balance is really good! I would wonder if there will ever be another series that would end above GoT in my list.
