Jonathan Pryce (Game of Thrones) and Elizabeth Debicki (The Kettering Incident) will join the cast of the final two seasons of The Crown. In the previous seasons, Matt Smith (Doctor Who) and Tobias Menzies (Outlander) portrayed Prince Philip. In the final season, he will be portrayed by Pryce. Elizabeth Debicki will portray Diana in the final two seasons.
It was previously revealed that Imelda Staunton (A Confession) will take over from Olivia Colman (Broadchurch) as Queen Elizabeth. Princess Margaret will be portrayed by Lesley Manville in the final season. It will take a while before these actors can be seen in their new roles, as production for the fifth season is set to begin June 2021, after the fourth season has released.
